Is childcare provided?

Yes! During MOPS meetings, your children will be cared for in a nurturing environment through our MOPPETS program. We have a wonderful team of MOPPETS caregivers who provide quality infant and toddler care. In the MOPPETS classrooms, the children play games, sing songs, listen to stories, create arts and crafts projects, and have a healthy snack.

WHAT IS MOPPETS??
The MOPPETS ministry contributes to meeting the needs of children, as well as the needs of their moms. The MOPPETS ministry provides a caring atmosphere for children with loving, qualified care for each child.

What do the children do while in MOPPETS?
Infants through young twos will be loved and cared for based on their individual needs by gracious MOPPETS workers that demonstrate the love of Jesus. Older two’s will enjoy a short Bible story time, simple craft projects, supervised free play, snacks and rest time. Fully potty-trained threes through five year olds will be taught a basic Bible truths and about Christ’s love. They have craft time, supervised free play, singing, story time, snacks and group games.

We are also pleased to announce that we now provide a Home Schooling room for families that have decided to home school their children. This is for children in grades First Grade and up. Your children will also be taught basic Bible stories truths about Christ’s love. They will have supervised work time, free play, snacks and group games.

Allergy Alert
If your child has any known food allergies please note them on the sign-in sheet in each nursery room AND verbally tell the workers. Also note any posts from the MOPPETS teachers regarding snacks served.

Diaper Bags
Please make sure your child has all needed items for each MOPS meeting. Label your bag and ALL items inside… cups, bottles, snack containers, etc. Also be sure your bag contains at least two diapers and a change of clothes, especially for children that are in the process of potty training.

Sick Child Guidelines:
Please DO NOT bring a child to MOPS who:
• Has had a temperature of 100 degrees or higher within the last 24 hours.
• Has vomited or had diarrhea within the last 24 hours.
• Has a runny nose with green or yellow mucus.
• Has been exposed to a contagious condition such as chicken pox, measles, Fifth’s Disease, strep throat, rosella, hand/foot/mouth disease, impetigo or pink eye.
• Please notify our MOPPETS Coordinator if your child has a chronic condition such as allergic rhinitis, which is not contagious but may resemble a cold or infection.

Keep in mind that bringing a sick child to MOPPETS or into the MOPS meeting may jeopardize the health of others and put him or her at greater risk of developing additional symptoms. Do not bring a sick child into the MOPS meeting! If your child is sick, he or she needs to be home with you cuddling.

Remember the Golden Rule of “Sick Day Decisions”: If another child had the same symptoms, would you be glad to have him or her sitting next to your child?

In addition to these policies, please notify our MOPPETS Coordinator or your Discussion Group Leader if your child/children develops any contagious condition such as chicken pox, measles, Fifth’s Disease, strep throat, rosella, hand/foot/mouth disease, impetigo or pink eye within 24 hours after a MOPS meeting. This will allow us to notify the mothers of the other children that may have been in the same room as your child so they can watch for the same symptoms in their children. It is also important so the room they were in can be properly cleaned.

Thank you for abiding by these guidelines!

What is MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers and is an international organization that exists to encourage, equip, and help women become the best moms that they can be! Women who are pregnant or have young children (birth through kindergarten) are all invited to join MOPS.

MOPS provides an opportunity to meet other moms and make the journey of motherhood together. We share our experiences, learn from one another, and support each other. MOPS meetings are a wonderful place to build friendships and have fun with other moms. In other words, it's a playdate for moms!

At each of our meetings, moms enjoy a chance to socialize with other moms over brunch and a hot cup of coffee. We have a short time for announcements, followed by either a speaker or a creative activity, plus a small group discussion that allows you to get to know other moms more closely.

In addition to meetings, we plan special events such as play groups, "Moms Night Out," and family outings called "MOPS & POPS." We also participate in community service activities.

Childcare during all meetings is provided through the MOPPETS program. We provide a fun, nurturing environment for your kids to play and learn while you take a well-deserved break!
