Prayer Tuesday

I know we are all bummed we did not have MOPS, but I feel God just gave me an idea that will still bring us all together..not in person...but in PRAYER.

So comment here with your prayer requests and we can all pray for one another before our Heavenly Father. You can make your prayer as long or short as you want it.
A couple requirements:
1. It has to be about you or your immediate family.
2. You must commit before God to pray for the other needs as well. Its never good to ask for prayer for yourself and not pray for other.

I am excited to see how God will honor our commits and answer prayers.

MOPS Snow Delay Policy

Snow Policy

Our snow cancellation policy for meetings follows the one used by Guilford County Schools. If school opens one hour late, MOPS will begin one hour late and end at 11:30. If school is delayed for two hours or is closed, then MOPS will be canceled.

Nutrition 302- Beauty from the Inside Out

Ladies we have class tomorrow and it is Nutrition 302: Beauty from the Inside Out. Two of our MOPS MOMS will be speaking to us. We will keep who, a surprise. One will be speaking on What are you craving? Nutritionally and Spiritually and the other on Natural Skincare. This is sure to be a fun meeting. We have a cool craft to go along with our topic. Believe me, once the meeting is over and those kids are in bed, you will want to take a long soak in the tub. Come find out why...

Remember kids are dropped off at 9am (not before) and meeting starts at 9:15. See you then.

Tickle Our Tastes Buds Winner Jan 4th-Cream Cheese Squares

Congrats to Erica on her winning dish. They were so good. I can't wait to make them for my family.

Cream Cheese Squares
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 T vanilla
2 (8oz) cans of crescent rolls
Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
4 T butter
1 T cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Combine cream cheese, vanilla and 1 cup of sugar. mix well. arrange 1 can of crescent rolls in greased 9x13 pan, sealing perforations. Spread cream cheese mixture on top. Arrange the other can of crescent rolls, dont seal them together this time. combine 1/2 cup of sugar, butter, cinnamon, (it will be clumpy)---sprinkle this over the top of the dish. top with the chopped pecans and some more cinnamon if desired. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Cool completly before cutting into small squares.

MOPS Meeting Tuesday Jan.4th: Finances in 2011

We hope everyone survived the hustle and bustle of the Christmas and New Year Holidays and are ready to get back into the "normal" routine. This Tuesday we have our first MOPS meeting of 2011. Wahoo!! We are delighted to welcome back again to LCC MOPS, Kathy Peschell, as our speaker. She will be talking about finances. She and her husband teach and follow the Dave Ramsey approach and she will be ready for your questions, so come prepared.

See you Tuesday at 9am.
